What is Nuclear Materials Management?Nuclear materials management professionals are a variety of professionals whose work is dedicated to the safe, secure and effective stewardship of nuclear materials and related technologies. They develop international standards and treaties, safe means of packaging and transporting nuclear materials including spent fuel. They develop systems and technologies to protect nuclear facilities and materials and safe and effective measures to store and dispose of nuclear materials. They are engineers, physicists, mathematicians, accountants, policy analysts, security specialists, and more. Since its founding in 1958, the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management has been the primary forum for interacting with nuclear materials management leaders in industry, government, allied organizations and academia. As an international organization, the Institute supports 41 professional and student chapters in 14 countries. INMM members live in more than 30 nations around the world. Member Benefits for Students
